The quick hit
  • Typeform describes itself as a no-code platform combining AI-powered forms with automated workflows. It is general purpose, not newsletter specific.
  • Typeform's strengths are broad: form design, video and audio responses, payments, analytics, and research tools.
  • greetform is built for the moment right after a newsletter subscribe, with conditional questions, offers, an offer wall, and lead routing.
  • Typeform prices by responses a month. Its plan cards list Basic at 100 responses, Plus at 1,000, and Business at 10,000 (as of October 2026).
  • A newsletter can use both: Typeform for surveys and research, greetform for the post-subscribe flow.

Pick Typeform when you want a well-known, flexible form platform for customers, research, or lead capture across a business. Pick greetform when the job is the page a reader sees right after subscribing to your newsletter: a short conditional survey, an offer that fits the answers, and a lead you can route. If you want a wider list of options, we already covered it in Typeform alternatives for newsletters, so this guide sticks to the head-to-head.

The honest starting point

Typeform is a strong product, and for many jobs it is the better pick. It is a mature platform with a large customer base. Its home page says 150,000+ businesses use it.

greetform is narrower on purpose. It does one thing: what happens right after someone joins a newsletter.

Short answer: Broad platform versus one specific moment. Typeform is the better choice for general forms, customer research, and workflows across a business. greetform is the better choice when the subscribe moment is where you want to earn.

What Typeform does well

From Typeform's own home and pricing pages, which we opened for this guide:

  • Three product lines: Intelligent Forms, Growth Flow, and Research Flow.
  • AI form creation: Typeform says its AI builds forms from a prompt.
  • Richer responses: video and audio responses and AI-generated follow-up questions.
  • Logic and analytics: conditional logic on the Basic, Plus, and Business plans, with drop-off rates and conversion tracking on Business.
  • Workflows: Growth Flow lists lead enrichment, segmentation, and email and SMS follow-ups, with Stripe and PayPal payments.
  • Research: AI-moderated interviews and verified panel recruitment.

Typeform's own page claims its conversational logic doubles the completion rate versus traditional forms. That is Typeform's claim, and we did not test it.

Choose Typeform if: You need a polished form or research platform across many use cases. Customer surveys, job applications, research studies, and sales workflows are all things Typeform is built around.

Where a general platform stops for a newsletter

Typeform can ask your new subscribers questions and branch on the answers. It can also send contacts to Mailchimp, and its page says answers can go to over 500 services through Zapier. ActiveCampaign appears among the logos on Typeform's home page.

What the Typeform pages we opened do not describe is a newsletter-specific layer: an offer wall, offer cards that drop in mid-survey, or a lead page tied to a single offer. Typeform's pricing page mentions automated lead routing and Growth Flow lists lead follow-up, but what we read describes general lead generation, not routing a new subscriber to your sponsor.

The gap: Typeform helps you ask. A newsletter also needs somewhere to send the answer. The answer has to turn into an offer, a lead, and a field in your email platform.

What greetform is built for

greetform starts after the subscription has already succeeded.

  • Conditional logic where each answer picks the next question, on every plan including Free.
  • Inline offer cards mid-survey and a custom offer wall at the end.
  • Lead pages you own, one per offer, with lead routing and tracking.
  • Integrations with Beehiiv, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Zapier, and Claude.
Choose greetform if: The subscribe moment is the job. Your priority is zero-party data, owned offers, sponsor or advertiser leads, and proof of what happened.

What it looked like on three of our own newsletters

We run greetform on three newsletters we own: Forest City Insider, Henderson HQ, and West Vegas HQ. Between August 2 and October 30, 2026, 3,173 of 4,681 new subscribers finished the survey, which is 68%. In the same period, 159 leads came in.

That is one set of newsletters, so treat it as an example of what the flow produced for us, not a promise for yours.
